The Deshpande Foundation is the family Foundation of Gururaj (“Desh”) and Jaishree Deshpande, of And over, MA. Founded in 1996, the Deshpande Foundation is one of the leading philanthropic Foundations in Massachusetts and India in the areas of innovation, entrepreneurship and international development. Through its grant making, the Deshpande Foundation has helped launch innovative companies, helped NGOs develop an international presence and launched partnerships with some of the most remarkable change agents in the world today.

- The Deshpande Fellowship Program is a 6-month, residential training program run by the Deshpande Center for Social Entrepreneurship (DCSE) in Hubli, India. DFP works for passionate university graduates and young professionals who are interested in generating social change or starting their own social enterprise. Over the course of the 6-month Fellowship, DFP gives them comprehensive, rigorous, practical training to prepare them for a successful career as social entrepreneurs. DFP transforms Fellows into India's next generation of social leaders. We do this through modules, guest speaker sessions with distinguished social entrepreneurs from around the globe, and through giving Fellows hands-on, practical experience through Leadership and Entrepreneurship activities, as well as special events.
